Twins.. Oh, they are something else!
Gabby recently started speech therapy and, her speech therapist believes her speech delay could possibly be due to Gabe not talking yet.
It may be a twin thing.
When was the last time you thanked God for the perseverance to get through the hard times?
When was the last time you thanked God for the not so noticeable things?
Have you thanked God recently for the food on your table, clothes on your back, roof over your head, or, just for simply waking you up in the morning?
All of these things are gifts. Gifts that we take for granted.
Lately, I have been pressed upon the word Content.
CONTENTMENT
To be satisfied or pleased
We currently have two different forms of speech therapy flowing through our house. Gabriel's speech therapy involves a lot of trying to get him to turn to different sounds by listening, and then repeating the sound. Gabrielle's speech therapy involves a lot of showing her the object and, then having her repeat the sound or, word that is presented.
We are also all taking sign language classes weekly.
It's work but, it's beautiful!
We always want the finished product.
Just like as a mom I just want my babies to get to communicating at the right level for their ages.
We were taught to always have the "End in Mind". Yes, this is somewhat important!
But... What if we really took the time with being content and, embraced the seasons that we are currently in?
There was always much more peace when I was content in the different seasons.
Trust me, you will appreciate the ending much more!
Throughout this process of being content I have enjoyed moments of Gabby repeating words that are being said to her and, repeating the animal sounds when she sees a particular animal. I have also enjoyed moments of Gabe turning to sounds that are new to him and, imitating actions that are heard.
You will eventually get tired of running in circles.
Running in circles leaves no room for peace.
This life is so temporary. We need to learn to be content. There are so many lessons to be learned in the processes and, in the end when we are called home the money we had, the jobs we worked, the degrees, etc... none of that even matters.
What matters most is what we did to enhance the kingdom.
What areas of your life do you need to learn to be content in?
