Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.
Psalm 119:1
I was struggling trying to balance everything one afternoon and, it just seemed like everything was getting on top of me.
Alex could tell in my face that I was struggling so he told me to "stay the course."
Those words really stuck because it has been a challenge to stay the course.
The communication gap between Gabe and I has been growing substantially.
There has been a lot of tantrums and, frustrations because he is having trouble communicating with us.
It has been very difficult.
There are some people that need the words
"You got this!"
or,
"You are going to get out of this stronger!"
Then, there are others like me that just need the words "Stay the course."
The course feels like a rollercoaster.
Some days are good and, some are just downright bad.
It is so hard to see progress when all you are looking for is the big picture.
In my case, I just really want my son to listen and speak.
I have learned that when you are in the middle of a course to always be grateful for the little things because your Faith in the little things are all working for your good.
When Gabe says: "Mama" we say,"Thank you Jesus!"
When Gabe points to a picture we say," Thank you Jesus!"
When he wears his implant all day we say, "Thank you Jesus!"
When he signs a new word we say, "Thank you Jesus!"
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you"
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
I have Faith.
This part of the course will not last long.
The course that you are struggling with will not last long.
Katie Torwalt once said: "My Faith may be tested but, I know that I know"
I gave it to Jesus.
Did you?
