It's true that in our daily lives, we often overlook or underestimate the immense power and presence of God. The miracles that God can perform and the ways in which He can intervene in our lives are beyond human comprehension.
Faith In Action was started to encourage people to give their lives to Christ and to take care of the God-given bodies that they have.
Fitness and nutrition began as a hobby for us, but it quickly became our gateway to connecting with and inspiring others.
As we are growing, I truly believe that I am experiencing growing pains and, I don't want the initial message that we were trying to get across to be dismayed.
It has lead to moments of doubts or, feelings of loneliness in my spiritual journey.
We carry a heavy load, and lately I've been feeling unnoticed by God.
At the same time that my business was growing my son was regressing.
Lots and Lots of different emotions flowing.
I was going through our regular routine yesterday of bringing Gabe to one of his therapies and, I had planned to just go back to my car and pray and write. I knew that internally I was having a hard time and, I needed the hour that he was going to be in therapy to spend time with the Lord.
As I walked through the parking lot towards my car, the weight of the day settled heavily on my shoulders. I must have looked worn out because another mom approached me with concern.
"Hey there, I noticed your knee brace," she stated.
"I've got one on the same knee. What happened?"
"Oh, just old injuries acting up sometimes"
She then proceeded to say, "I hear you. I've had my share of knee troubles too.
Meniscus, in my case."
We exchanged a few more details about challenges with injuries and then she stated:
"I don't think I've seen you around here before."
I then confirmed that we were new and that my son, Gabriel, just started therapy here.
I just told her that he was four has cochlear implants and, he is also autistic.
She then stated: "My son is fourteen, and autistic,"
"It's a journey, isn't it?"
"It really is," I admitted, feeling the weight of responsibility for Gabriel, who faced the unique challenges of being both deaf and autistic.
She must have sensed my struggle because she asked, "Can I give you a hug?"
Surprised but touched by her kindness, I said "sure."
As we hugged, she stated: "I just want to pray for you."
"God sees the work you're doing, and you're not alone in this difficult season."
Her prayer was simple yet powerful, a reminder that amidst the daily trials, there was a source of strength greater than myself.
As she prayed I began to weep as her words resonated deeply within me.
In the midst of our busy lives with raising a family and personal struggles, it was often these small moments of understanding and empathy that carried us through.
I knew that I would remember that parking lot conversation, not just for the shared experiences of knee injuries and parenting challenges, but for the reminder that compassion and support could appear in the most unexpected places.
As I drove home, I reflected on the unexpected encounter.
I felt a renewed sense of determination and gratitude.
For in the journey of raising a child with special needs, every gesture of kindness, every shared understanding, and every whispered prayer mattered more than words could express.
The signs of God's presence are everywhere; your unwavering faith is always recognized.
And as for Faith In Action Fitness and Nutrition Services we are going to keep moving, keep pushing, and keep striving to connect and inspire others through health and nutrition.
"Lord, I do not know what you are doing in this season but, you have shown us that your presence is near. Forgive us for thinking that you are not noticing us. Forgive us for thinking that we are alone in our journeys. You are a waymaker. Even though in this season there are alot of things that are very unclear. We will be still and, we will trust you."
In Jesus' name.
Amen.
