How did Mary feel watching her baby boy go through everything that He went through?
She received a promise but, I am more than sure that some of those days were frustrating.
Some of those days were tiring.
Some of those days brought on so much fear.
After all, she was a young woman that was to birth a King.
In this season, my heart has been so heavy on Mary's story.
You would think that giving birth to a King would have been such a miraculous life but, the things that she went through to give birth to Baby Jesus was not easy.
I am pretty sure it tested her.
I am pretty sure some days she wanted to give up.
I am pretty sure some days she wondered why was she given this type of assignment.
Mary was given an assignment that she didn't think that she could handle but, she did it because she loved the Lord.
It was hard but, she did it.
Even when people turned against her she did it.
Even when her and Joseph felt alone in the process.. she really wasn't alone.
The day that Jesus was born the wait made it worth it.
Sometimes it becomes very difficult to pick up your cross every single day.
Picking up your cross every day can be so hard to not get frustrated, grow weary, or even just be full of fear and doubt.
The power of the Holy Spirit is what gives us the strength to last through the waiting.
Quite frankly, having endurance in the waiting is the hardest part of the process.
God is doing something in us in the waiting and, most of the time we often think about what we do not have versus what He has already done or, is doing for us.
We forget that no matter where we are He is always beside us.
I received my strength in worship and, in this season worship has been my main focus.
Sometimes that consists of me praise dancing in the middle of kitchen while my kids stare
or, even just singing and praying loudly in the car.
He is just that worthy and, they will know one day just how worthy He really is!
In the waiting..
Keep worshipping and, singing your way to victory.
Keep praying, trusting, and believing.
Although things sometimes may get difficult in your waiting may we strive to have a response to what God has called us to just as Mary did when she said,
"I am the servant of the Lord. May it be unto me according to your word."
Luke 1:38
Your waiting will be worth it.
